Each year the Town Council awards a number of small grants to community groups, to support activities that make a difference to Chilton residents of all ages.
Our grants programme is aimed at grass -roots community groups and organisations within the Chilton area. Each group can apply for up to £500 from the £3,000 funding pot.
The 2024/2025 awards were all about giving opportunities to enhance lives through cultural and social activities; 6 awards of £500 have been granted during the year.

Cllr Pearl Malpas, Chair of the Chilton Town Council Community and Events Committee said, “Community Grants enable our community champions and voluntary organisations to provide opportunities for residents to partake in activities that they would not be able to experience without the financial support provided”.
Mayor Stuart Sutherland added “Each of these activities makes a meaningful difference to residents, which we are of course delighted to have contributed to with these grants”
The 2025/2026 Grant Scheme will be published in May 2025, detailing the theme for the year, funding criteria and application process.
