The following committee meetings will be held from 6 pm at Hutton House

The Junior Town Council will meet at Hutton House from 1pm on Friday 18th October.

Our Types Of Meeting

Full Council: this is the over-arching body that makes the necessary decisions on matters relating to the Town. The meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (apart from August).

Allotment Committee: deals with the management and allocation of allotments, as well as open spaces and play areas. The meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 10.30am in Hutton House (apart from August).

Cemetery Committee: deals with the management of the cemetery. The meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6pm in Hutton House.

Policy and Resources Committee: Deals with Policy Development, planning, HR matters, resources and management of Hutton House, Town Council offices. The meetings are held on 4th Tuesday of each month, after the Cemetery Committee in Hutton House.

Community Committee: is the community engagement committee for the Council, dealing with events, community consultations, celebrations and neighborhood planning. The meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, after Full Council meeting, in Hutton House.

Junior Town Council: this council is made up of young people from across the town, with their own Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Councillors, who have been elected by the children of the town.

They are consulted on all issues being considered by the various Town Council committee and can make recommendations. They have a small budget to spend on projects they feel are worthy of support.

Annual Meetings: there are 2 annual meetings. The Annual Town Assembly is held on the 1st Thursday in May and is the formal reporting to the electorate on the work undertaken by the Town Council during the previous year. This includes reporting on the annual financial audit.

The Annual Town Council meeting is held on the 2nd Tuesday in May and deals with the elections of representatives, e.g. Chair (Mayor), Vice Chair (Deputy Mayor), for the Council and its committees.
