Hutton House will close on Wednesday afternoon 21st December and re-open in the New Year on Tuesday 3rd January at 10am
Our Benefits Advice sessions, provided by Ferryhill ladder Centre will end on Tuesday 13th December and start again on Tuesday 10th January.
Walk Durham, the last Chilton walk will be Friday 16th December.
Walkers are welcome to meet up unofficially to take part in the walk but there will not be a representative from Walk Durham and our Walk Leaders will not be available. Please take care if you choose to meet up for the walk without our designated leaders. Walks will start again on Friday 6th January at 10am.

Chilton Town Council were delighted to appoint former Councilor’s Alderman Christine Potts and Maureen Errington to the Towns role of Honorary Burgess.
Both ladies have undertaken sterling work for the Community having served many years as Town Councilor’s and in the case of Alderman Potts many years as a former Borough and recently County Councillor.
Mayor Cllr. M.Young said’ We are delighted and proud to award you both with this Honor. Chilton is a better Community and place to live with supporters and former Councillors like yourselves. On behalf of Chilton thank you for your service’.

We are delighted to announce that the Drainage Project for the football pitches will commence on Monday 25th April. However, due to Health and Safety reasons we must close the field during the duration of the project. This includes the MUGA, Skatepark, car park area, as the drainage will have plant on site and need access.
We apologize for the closure, especially to our young residents, but it is necessary to ensure the safety of everyone.
Whilst the Charlie Wayman Field remains closed, we will keep residents up to date via our Website, Facebook and The Chapter.
Calling all young people of Chilton, we need your help this Easter!
The Easter Bunny has been busy laying a QR code Trail around Chilton and we need you to find him. he has left a prize for the first 50 to complete the Trail. So, on Easter Sunday the starting point will be Hutton House Chilton, starting 10am. Come to the office and all instructions will be given to you. BUT you will need a parent or guardian with you to take part.
Cllr. Sutherland said ‘ we are really pleased the Easter Bunny has agreed to visit Chilton and look forward to helping our young residents find the clues and win their prize. See you all Easter Sunday.’

On Wednesday 21st there will be a Reindeer Trail in the town for children with their parents to follow the clues and find the QR codes hidden around the town. Starting at Hutton House at 10am collect the first clue and then set off on the trail to find the next clue.
There will be a small gift for all of the children that complete the trail by 12 noon. So just come along on the day with your smart phone.
We are inviting families to bring children along to have an afternoon tea with us at Hutton House. On Saturday 17th December from 1pm can come along and enjoy a light tea for only £1 per person. Children aged 16 and under will receive a small gift.
To reserve a slot, call in with payment and complete a dietary instruction form for your family. We cannot reserve a place without a signed form.
Enjoy a leisurely walk around Chilton with a group of friendly walkers, see the Llamas and return to Hutton House for a cuppa and a chance to socialise with the others. The Mayor Cllr. M. Young is delighted to announce that in conjunction with Rev. Gary Norman and the congregation at St. Aidan’s Church this year's Annual Civic Carol Service is to take place at St. Aidan’s Church, Thursday 8th December at 6.30pm.
Cllr. M. Young said 'This is a lovely event each year, looked forward to by many residents and I know will be a highlight of my Civic year'.
