Residents are invited by the local planning authority, Durham County Council, to comment on planning application DM/26/00024/FPA for up to 148 houses at land to the west of Lyndhurst Nurseries.
To support community engagement, the Town Council arranged a public drop-in session on 29 January, attended by Planning Officers, to hear residents’ views, which were both in support of and in objection to the proposal. In addition, Avant Homes held a public meeting on 25 February to provide further information and answer questions from members of the community.
Comments can be submitted directly through the County Council’s planning portal by searching using the reference number DM/26/00024/FPA.

townclerk@chiltondurham-tc.gov.uk. Officers will forward all submissions to the relevant Planning Officer.
