Fees and Charges

Fees and payments and sums fixed under Section 214 and Schedule 26 of the Local Government Act 1972 and also in accordance with Article 15 (1) of the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977.

Transparent and Fair Pricing: Chilton Town Council is committed to providing clear and accessible information about the fees and charges related to our cemetery services. The following outlines the costs associated with burials, plots, and other services offered within the cemetery.

Burial Fees

Please note these fees are for residents of Chilton and Catholic residents from Ferryhill only.  For anyone who is not a resident the fees are double.

• Burial (person exceeding 12 years of age): £222.00
• Child Burial up to age of 12 years): £114.00
• Cremated Remains Burial: £77.00

   

 Exclusive Rights of Burial (100 years)

• Single Grave Plot: £154.00

   

Memorial Fees

• Permission to Erect a Headstone: £111.00
• Additional Inscription: £45.00

   

Other Charges

• Transfer of Burial Rights: £25.00
• Plaque in our Garden of Remembrance: £149.00
• 1 plinth in front of headstone: £19.80
