Access burial records

We offer access to burial records for individuals interred in Chilton Cemetery. These records can provide useful details to help you build a picture of your family history.

A £5 search fee applies for each search request. Once payment is received, an officer will assist with accessing the requested information.

How to request a search

  1. Complete the Search Request Form .
  2. Send the completed form by email to info@chiltondurham-tc.gov.uk, or by post to Chilton Town Council, Hutton House, Durham Road, Chilton, County Durham, DL17 0HE.
  3. Submit the form with payment of £5. Payment can be made by cash, cheque payable to Chilton Town Council, or bank transfer.
  4. Please allow up to 2 weeks for the results to be processed and shared.
